2023 Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) on the Gold Coast Wrap

In April, our team had the incredible opportunity to attend the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) on the Gold Coast. The event, which is the largest tourism industry business-to-business event, was hosted by Tourism Australia in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland and supported by Destination Gold Coast.

ATE provided an excellent platform for us to communicate key product updates, strengthen existing relationships and develop new business opportunities, all essential for future growth of our region.

Thanks to the support and investment by Moreton Bay Regional Council, MBRIT funded nine tourism operators to attend the event, and we were delighted to see such a diverse range of businesses represent the region. These operators went through a trade-ready program to ensure that they were offering a commissionable product. We were proud to host:

Results from ATE often take time as it is a long-term investment in international markets, but we are already receiving promising feedback from operators and buyers – particularly in the markets of India, South-East Asia and Japan. We are excited to see what the future holds for these businesses and our region as a whole.

Next year, ATE will be held in Melbourne from 19 - 23 May at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, and we are thrilled to continue working with tourism operators in the Moreton Bay Region and grow our presence at this essential business event.
